Research Assistant Professor
Dr. Arash G. Nouri is a Research Scientist in the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science at the University of Pittsburgh's Swanson School of Engineering. He received his Ph.D. in computational modeling and simulation (CMS) from Pitt, his M.S. in chemical engineering from Pitt, and his M.S. and B.S. in mechanical engineering from Sharif University of Technology.
Postdoctoral Fellow
Dr. Nikita Gourianov recently finished his D.Phil. in Atomic & Laser Physics at Keble College, University of Oxford, with a thesis on the utility of tensor network methods for turbulence simulations. Through this experience, he has gained expertise in tensor networks, high-dimensional optimization, data compression algorithms, low-level numerical linear algebra, partial differential equations and quantum computing. His interests largely lie in computational science, finance and commercialization of technologies.
